Orange juice

Many women love to drink juices. But during pregnancy, you need to ensure that which is good and which is not for your baby. It is recommended that you don’t drink cold drinks and other juices which are stored for longer period of time. It will be good that you make by your own rather than purchasing from outside. Compared to all juices, orange is the most recommended juice for pregnant ladies. It contains vitamin C and folic acid and also high potassium which helps to reduce high blood pressure that is mostly seen as danger during pregnancy. You should also ensure that you don’t consume unripe and semi ripe papayas, pineapples and grapes. They can cause early labour or miscarriage. So ensure that you don’t consume anything which contains the above mentioned fruits.

Vegetables

It is recommended that your food chart contains more of fresh veggies and especially green vegetables. You need to consume more fruits and vegetables particularly during the second and third trimesters. They contain low calories and rich in

Whole grains

They also contain iron, fibre and vitamin B. It is said that at least half of the carbohydrate choice should come from whole grains to a pregnant lady in her day to day consumption.

Dairy product

Dairy products like milk, yogurt and cheese are rich in calcium, protein and vitamin D. It is good to have at least two glass of milk daily and also a cup of yogurt. It is said that yogurt contains more calcium than milk so if in case you don’t like to drink milk then you can have yogurt as an alternative for that. Still a glass of milk daily is good for your health as well as for your unborn baby. Yogurt also contains active cultures that reduces the chance of yeast infection while expecting a pregnancy. Most of the women love to eat ice creams during pregnancy. If you wish to have ice cream then you can but if incase you feel some sort of cold or cough, it is recommended that you reduce cold things and ice creams.

Tablets

If in case you are lacking from vitamins, calcium, iron, etc. it is recommended that you consume vitamin tablets after consulting your doctor. There are various vitamin tablets available in the store. Before consuming any tablet ensure that do you really need to have that or not because excess vitamins can also harm you during pregnancy.
